Clinical use
HYALOFAST® is clinically used for the treatment of symptomatic or asymptomatic chondral or osteochondral defects of the knee:
ICRS grade III and IV; single or multiple; which may be caused by:
- acute trauma,
- repeated micro-trauma,
- instability and/or malalignment (in association with reconstructive and/or corrective surgery),
- Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD);
localized on: femoral condyles, trochlea, tibial plateau and patella; patients age: 15–55 (but depending on the biological age of the joint); patients BMI < 35.HYALOFAST® use is not suggested in cases of:
osteoarthritic conditions; kissing lesions; immune system disorders; neoplastic diseases; metabolic disorders; infections.
